Youth Voices on a NJ Green Amendment

The Bye Bye Plastic Bags New Jersey youth team is hosting a webinar about the importance of a Green Amendment for New Jersey.

Youth Voices on a Green Amendment consists of an informational presentation highlighting the youth members of Bye Bye Plastic Bags NJ’s Policy Team and a Q&A session with Maya K. Van Rossum, the Delaware Riverkeeper, author of The Green Amendment, Securing our Right to a Healthy Environment, and the founder and original petitioner and organizer of the Green Amendment Movement. Legislators will be invited to a Zoom meeting where they can listen to our speakers present live and personally ask Maya questions about the Green Amendment.

Introduction to Bye Bye Plastic Bags New Jersey (4:10 pm – 4:15 pm)

Green Amendment Presentation, featuring Aarush Rompally, Ayanna Snowden, and Alana Cabezas (4:15 – 4:40 pm)

Q & A Session with Maya K. Van Rossum (4:40 – 5:00 pm)

The event will be livestreamed to YouTube for the public to learn about the movement for a Green Amendment, hear students’ perspectives, learn from the founder of the Green Amendment movement, and gain insight on New Jersey’s legislators perspectives, questions, and thoughts on a Green Amendment for the state of New Jersey. Through the livestream chat, viewers will also be given the opportunity to ask questions of Maya K. Van Rossum. Join us to help secure a constitutional right to a healthy environment!
